Climate Law in Europe:Taking Stock – Looking Forward

More than one hundred participants joined the first conference of the European Association of Climate Law (EACL) in Berlin on 22–23 September 2025.

The opening day featured an Early Career Researcher Workshop on Climate Law and Intergenerational Justice, followed by an inspiring keynote from Christina Voigt (University of Oslo).

Day two offered a rich programme of presentations and panel discussions on:

  • European Climate Law in an Evolving World
  • Litigation and Legislation as Drivers of European Climate Law
  • The Role of Law in Promoting Corporate Climate Action
  • Climate Law as a Cross-Cutting Area of Law
